Sunday Stills~The Color Blue

~When I get the blues,
I go off into the hills and scream.~
~Annie Pollard 1887~

Ah...the color blue...it's the photo challenge for this week's Sunday Stills...but no blue skies...

Well, I'm gonna sneak this one in...it's not blue sky but blue clouds. The sun was rising behind me, and the gray clouds illuminated to this dark, threatening blue hue. It only lasted few minutes, and then it was back to just an overcast sky.

When I saw the icicles hanging off the barn roof and the lighting was good, I climbed the fence to get a macro...not until I downloaded the photos to the camera did I see the the beautiful blue reflection of the old barn wood and paint.

Didn't get enough "blue?" Check out the other Sunday Stills participants!

Wow, those are two stunning photographs! What's with icicles- it's spring!

The icicle picture is really great. I like that the lines repeat the same ones of the icicle on the blue paint.

I like the icicles and blue paint.

Isn't it amazing how we get sunshine at the same time we have dark, dark storm clouds. Good catch. It's a stunning photo.

Amazing how much glass and ice are alike isn't it? Beautifull shots.

Love both photos, but the icicle shot is my favorite. Beautiful piece of art.

Wow! I'm always amazed at what you can find if you look.
It looks like the snowstorm missed you guys. It looks like mid winter in the mountains here.

Yippee-i-o!! Got here--I think I may have simply overlooked the link to Comments; anyway, Blue Reflections is a beauty of a shot!! As I said earlier, it was well worth the effort to get it. I guess there are some photo-ops unique to living on a farm. Nice to see you making the most of it. Cheers!
