Last year, I don't know what happened, but there weren't any lil' ones. The year before they had 3. So, we'll be keeping a close watch on them and see what develops this year.
See...spring brings new life~~
But, then there's Cindy Sue...who is always on a mission...and as her Rat Terrier instincts take over...it's usually a mission of DEATH!!
Being the supportive big brother that
he is, Cowboy coaches her on...
"Comon' Cindy Sue...get it...get it!! Get'er dun!!"

Cindy Sues replies "I got the whole situation under control Cowboy.
This lil' thing won't get in mom's hay stack again!"

And so comes DEATH...
It's just the way it is~~

How cool is that Great Horned Owl!
ReplyDeleteGood job Cindy Sue! Get those rodents!
Love your new header picture. What a cool shot of the owls. I have 3 Great Horned Owls done (taxidermy) on a snag, an adult and two juveniles.
ReplyDeleteGood dog Cindy Sue! If you say "Get the mousie!" to mine you have to expect total chaos. You can point at a squirrel, an elephant, anything. If you point and yell "Mousie!" you had better be ready.
ReplyDeleteour heeler/rat terrier is most excellent hunter!
ReplyDeleteWhat agood girl that Cindy Sue!
Those owls are magnificant!
Great new photo! And I'm so excited you have nesting owls and know where they are. I was worried that was going to be the death part. Whew!
ReplyDeleteThat's great that you can photograph a nesting owl. Baby pictures would be nice too (hint, hint). I really need to borrow little Cindy Sue, have I got a job for her!
ReplyDeleteCool Owls, poor mouse...
ReplyDeleteFantastic post of the way life really is! I loved the owl picture - I zoomed in - how awesome to have such magnificent mountains and the life they hide!
ReplyDeleteCan't say I feel sorry for the mouse - a good Mouse Dog is a treaure!
