I've decided to join her weekly Friday meme...Random 5 Friday.
"...share 5 random facts about you, your day, your pets, your kids, whatever!"
So, here we go!
1. I really am trying to get back into blogging...I know, I've said that numerous times in the past. But honest I am.
2. Wet, newborn calves at dusk, in the sagebrush, are not always the color you think they are...Lucy's black calf turned out to be red in the daylight! And he's big too...we are so thankful that Lucy (a first time heifer) popped him right out.
Lucy needs to work on lickin' off her calf better! |
3. My Man intends to retire in October...I'm quite nervous about the whole thing.
4. Spring has arrived...the Bald Eagles are hunting the alfalfa fields for sage rats.
5. Lil' Mindy Mae (aka Stinker Pot)...really is a stinky dog. She seems to need a bath every couple of weeks! Is that a Chihuahua thing?
"I don't need no stinkin' bath!!!" |
Happy Friday and have a wonderful weekend!!
I know I will...it's going to be in the 60's!!
oh that calf is adorable...best of luck on his retirement!

ReplyDeleteI get nervous when Shane is home for the weekend! Lol. I like my alone time! Love the calf. Xo
ReplyDeleteThey do change color.
ReplyDeleteI'd be nervous too! Although I work/play with my hubby 24/7 and we haven't killed each other yet! Wanted to, but didn't! :)
This weather has been awesome!

And yeah, get back to blogging. :)
ReplyDeleteLucy and her calf are precious.
ReplyDeleteYeah I'd be nervous if my hubby retired too. He hates sitting still for very long so he'd probably drive me up a wall if he was home all day.
Cool that you get to see Bald Ealges
Stinker Pot or Mindy Mae is darling. I love your caption.
It is baby animal time. The calf is too cute and Mindy Mae is, too! Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with calving. Nice calf. B
ReplyDeleteGlad you're back too Karen! Retirement is rather a knee-knocking experience for most of us these days, will what we have be enough? That's the big question... as to baths, it's just a dog thing!
ReplyDeleteI do hope you blog more- FB is ok for the quick responses from friends but blogging is more of a journal and creative outlet that is more personal, especially since you don't have to put up with people "sharing" a bunch of stuff that you really don't give a hoot about.
