~Think twice before you say yes to anything.~
~Susanna Alder 1901~
I did think twice about this...even three 'n four times...but...I guess I'm gonna do it anyhow... despite my better judgement!
OK...I survived...even from the ants in my pants...got 'er done in just did the one take.
Come on now...you can do it too!!!!
Here's the list:
Aunt, Route, Wash, Oil, Theater, Iron, Salmon, Caramel, Fire, Water, Sure, Data, Ruin, Crayon, Toilet, New Orleans, Pecan, Both, Again, Probably, Spitting image, Alabama, Lawyer, Coupon, Mayonnaise, Syrup, Pajamas, Caught
What is it called when you throw toilet paper on a house?
What is the bug that when you touch it, it curls into a ball?
What is the bubbly carbonated drink called?
What do you call gym shoes?
What do you say to address a group of people?
What do you call the kind of spider that has an oval-shaped body and extremely long legs?
What do you call your grandparents?
What do you call the wheeled contraption in which you carry groceries at the supermarket?
What do you call it when rain falls while the sun is shining?
What is the thing you change the TV channel with?
I loved this! Felt like you were talking right to me. You have a very articulate and comforting voice. I think I expected you to be more 'country' with a bigger accent. lol!
ReplyDeleteI also liked how you got more comfortable and more confident as soon as you put your hat on.
I think I'd need more than a hat to give me enough courage to do one of these v-logs. lol!
You did good!
~Lisa
LUVE the hat!! Great vlog!
ReplyDeleteHmm I've seen this a lot maybe I will do one, if I can find the crappy camera!
ReplyDeleteWhen I go places people ask me where my accent is from (apparently I have one?) I think it's because my mom is american and my dad is canadian so I have both sides talking to me so I get some in between words there.
Karin you are so cute LOL! Love it, you did a great job!!!
ReplyDeletewish sometimes I could, but my surgery induced accent isnt pretty.
Very nicely done!
ReplyDeleteYour words and my words are the same! I guess in a lot of the country those same words are used differently- thus the vlog.
I was hoping you'd also do donkey or burro...
So cute! It would be fun to do this but I do not like to be video taped and I hate my voice!
ReplyDeleteYou made me feel comfortable listening to you. Knowing me I would get nervous and start pronounceing things incorrectly! I will have to get a little more courage up and then I will try it.
ReplyDeleteGreat job....I AM SO GLAD you did it.
ReplyDeleteTo my ear, you don't have an accent. Love how comfortable you got after you put your hat on.
ReplyDeleteThat was awesome and you are just like I imagined you would be after reading your blog for so long.
ReplyDeleteHaha-I may have to try this myself.
You are so brave. If I had to do the same you would all get to see me nervously barfing into my hat....
ReplyDeleteYou did great - I prepared one over the weekend but have had trouble loading it to blogger - so may have to try it again in youtube.... Nice to meet ya!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you did it! Nice to put a name and voice to your blog :)
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job and I detect a slight northern accent, but not too much. I thought it was wonderful!
Howdy back at ya! I nominated you for an award... details on my blog.
ReplyDeleteThis was wonderful - now we know the 'real you lol!And i agree; once the hat went on, you were ready to 'work lol...
ReplyDeleteActually, every word you said was exactly how I speak - Im from Northern Il near the Wisconsin border - were you schooled by nuns? I know sister victoria who taught 3rd grade was really into dialect at our school...and wooden rulers...
Hello little lady! I loved it!!!!! How nice to put a face to the writing! True, when the hat went on, the ants left the building. But great vlog. Your accent isnt what I expected, I thought maybe more of a drawl? But no, real easy on the ear. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI wont be doin` it!!Lol
Well ain't you something, ain't you just. Soo cute. When it's raining when the sun is shining, we call it "the devil's beating his wife."
ReplyDeleteI could tell we live in the same part of the country so to my way of thinking neither of us have any accent but then Mikey called it "northern" so guess that tells me. LOL
ReplyDeleteI think this would be kinda fun if it wasn't for the tech part. I have yet to learn how to upload video nor do I have a webcam but we'll see. I could get the notion to solve those problems. Who knows.
Thanks for doing this. It's so much fun to put a name and a voice with the blog. Love your hat.
That is so brave! I am not goona do it, but to me it doesnt sound like you have much of an accent at all. So nice to hear you and put a voice to the words.
ReplyDeleteWell it is so nice to meet you :) I am full of admiration, you are very brave doing this, not sure if I have the courage to follow your example! It is interesting to hear different peoples accents.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing.
that was very cool........hair cut or no hair cut.
ReplyDeleteI saw Just Another day on the Prairie's vlog...
I like seeing the faces , hearing the voices.
another little "insight" to the people whose blogs I enjoy reading.
I'm so glad you did this. Pleased to see you. Now if I can just get my courage up.
