Macro Monday

I'm moving right along with the food theme for this week's Monday Macro challenge. Playing around with all the new settings on the camera are exciting yet frustrating...trying to figure out why they don't quite respond like you think they should...but that's all part of the learning!

This photo is set on "Auto." Not even the macro setting.

This is the "indoor" setting with the macro on.

And as I kept dinkin' 'round with the settings and taking more photos...my onions were trying to morph on me!

This photo is on Aperture Priority setting at 2.8 and
the Super Macro on.

The onions seemed to be protesting...so I called it a day!

Check out more cool Macro photos here in the comments section.

  3. Ok. The shrimp photo made me hungry! I took photos of food too. But I think I'd rather have the shrimp you cooked than the elk stuffed roasted poblano peppers I photographed! Yummy!

  4. I've not had shrimp in years! Your photo makes me want to go out and find some. Much tougher to do here in land-locked middle of New Mexico, though. lol!
Your photos turned out great. I'm glad you're having fun playing with all the buttons and gadgets on your new camera.
The onions comments cracked me! They do look to be protesting a little....or maybe they're just happy to see ya!

    har har har!

  5. I'm so hungry now! Those shrimp look delicious and the composition and shading on the onions is awesome. Keep hitting the buttons and trying new stuff, that's how we learn our new cameras and get shots we wouldn't think of normally.....and I'll be requesting the recipe for the shrimp linguine...incredible...

  8. OK, the shrimp shot gave me the willies as I'm highly allergic, but you calmed me down with the beautiful onions. I could eat my weight in onions!
