Wonderful owl shots. But the feather shot is exquisite! Beautifully done - and good eyes just to have seen it!
ReplyDeleteDo those owls stay there all year? Those are all great shots.
ReplyDeleteThanks Donna...and yes, I just happened to catch the feather out of the corner of my eye as I was walking into the house. I'm not so sure about exquisite...but unique! ;~)
ReplyDeleteHi Crystal...yes, all year long. They live in the elm trees in the yard and nest in the rock rim just 50 yards from the house. They're here every day, but I don't look to find them every day. Some days, like today, I happen to spot one in a lower branch or in good lighting and try to get some good shots...they're a nesting pair and were here when we moved here 6 years ago!
Those are very nice clear shots. Lucky you to have resident owls.
ReplyDeleteWhooo would have thought that a feather, caught up in a dried stalk could look so beautiful?!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
Love the pictures! I also wanted to thank you so much for your insightful and lengthy comment on my blog post a few days ago. Coming from the same background and well, southeastern Oregon, its nice to know I'm not alone some of my beliefs about the economy! ;)
ReplyDeleteThe feather is gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteNeat Oh! owls are such mysterious creatures to me, I really don't know much at all about them.
