Sunday Stills ~ Textures

The Sunday Stills challenge this week was Textures...So many subjects to photograph when you start looking around!!! This was a very fun challenge~~

Rawhide, mohair, and leather braiding.

Leather stamping on my chinks.

Brego's wild mane in the rain.

Whiskey's brand.

Medusahead...pretty, but a very bad noxious weed
we're working on erradicating.

Lichen on rock.

Old Princeton town wood.

Horsehair hatband and stampeed strap with wildrags.

Hollyhocks in the morning sunshine.

Visit the comments section at Sunday Stills HERE to see more photos of textures.

Awesome photos, Karen! The lichen is my favorite!

We have what you call Medusahead here but we call it foxtail. Hate it when that stuff gets in the hay. Really nice pictures.

Lovely photos, all great interpretation...the holly hocks is such a great example, they sure do have texture!

These were all great choices and photos. My faves are the horse tack. There is just something so tactile and magical about the feel of leather, mohair, rawhide, and horse hair, isn't there?

Good captures!

Great pictures, so many fun things around the barn with textures! That medusahead is strange looking, does it get very tall or bloom? Like your new header, too! :)

That medusahead looks kinda cool, but since it is a noxious weed, I guess I shouldn't like it!
Cool textures you captured!

Very nice shots! I love the textures you picked! Beautiful!

I've been having some issues with your blog. Very sad! Your posts don't load when I'm home, but the side bar does, and when I try to be sneaky and post a comment while I'm at work I get the million pop ups. Not sure what the deal is, but fingers crossed on this one! :)

I found your blog by visiting The 7MSN ranch. I love the eastern side of Oregon. I'm over on the west side of Oregon, but visit a lifelong buddy of mine and travel thru Klamath Falls and Lakeview, Adel and Denio to get to her favorite parts of travel: Open Range!!! I'm coming back to visit again!
