Where's the Snow?!?

Ha!!! Well, now that I've said those three words, maybe we'll get some snow!

Layered Sky
Layered Clouds

But really, it will be February 1st tomorrow, and we've had less than 6 inches total so far this winter...and we've had very little rain. I worry about the snow pack on the Steens of course; we need lots of water for the alfalfa!

Snow Play!

I shouldn't be complaining...I should be out riding...but we've been consumed by this...

No more carpet in the house!!! YEAH!!!

My Man worked his a$$ off to get two bedrooms and the great room done. I'm very proud of him; it turned out gorgeous!! All that's left to do are the moldings around the edges...I get to prep and stain them.

All I can say is that Do It Yourself Home Improvement is not all that it's made out to be!!

  1. We're wondering where the snow is too. I need to borrow that man too by the way ;)

  2. Looks like he is doing a nice job with the floor. In my neck of the woods, we don't wonder where the snow is, we are just thankful there isn't any! I lived in snow country for 5 years and saw plenty enough for me...I am a sunshine gal! Loved the layered clouds!

  3. Nice floors! Love the color. I keep calling this the winter that wasn't.
Hope it doesn't come really late and mess with spring.

  4. We've had more snow than you have! Wow! I knew that the mountains were behind on snow... but not that far behind. I guess a storm is coming this way. I hope it dumps a bunch of snow on you!

  7. That is exactly what I want done in our house...I hate the carpet downstairs!

Let me know how you like the new flooring.

As for the no snow, it would concern me. We had tons of December rain and some good snows in January. It is melting but we look good for moisture in WI. I hope the summer is not too dry for you!

  8. We've had a really mild winter here again this year in Oklahoma. My older son said he saw geese flying north the other day! I love your flooring. I'm sure it is work to do it yourselves, but it sure looks nice. :) If I had my way, we would have NO carpet in our house.

  9. Yeay to no carpets! I bet your floors look wonderful and kudo's to your hubby for doing the work himself. We did all our renovating too here in the old house...lots of work but well worth it. As far as snow goes...we haven't had snow here in our part of Kansas since early November other than a skiff that was gone in about an hour or two in December. We may get a bit tonight but I'll believe it when I see it. We've been in a drought for over a year so hopefully that changes since we got some rain yesterday. Good luck to you..I hope the skies open up and you get your snow. Enjoy your evening.
