Chimin' in Harmony~12 Years 'n Countin'

~You are born a girl,
but with a lot of work,
you become a woman.~
~Kate Preen 1902~

Another year goes by...but 12 years sure have gone by fast! July 10, 1999, My Man and I were married in a simple, outdoor wedding with family, friends and critters in attendance.

My Man rode Carina (who we lost a couple of winters ago) and I rode my ol' man Toby (who at 24 is still the horse boss of the pastures).

Abby was the ring bearer with a tiny doll backpack attached to her collar. Cowboy was just supposed to follow along, but got tipsy before the wedding when he licked up some spilled wine...he finally made it, but was a lil' bit sloshed!

We celebrated the day yesterday by goin' into the fairgrounds and watchin' the annual Harney County Ranch Hand Rodeo...then dinner out at the Pine Room. It was a fun day of visiting with friends and just doin' nothin'!

Last Christmas I saw (and heard) these beautiful wind chimes at one of our local merchants...and decided that we had to have one for our front yard makeover...so we treated ourselves...and absolutely LOVE them!

Take a listen...

Today, we're back to doin' chores and movin' wheel lines. This evenin' we'll BBQ on the Traeger and enjoy some "deck time" listening to the chimes and watching sprinklers go 'round 'n 'round...a perfect way to spend our anniversary!

Cheers to many more years My Man!

  2. Happy Anniversary, you guys ...and many, many more!

You beat us by just a few months. Yeoldfurt and I were married in a tiny little church in Lybrook, NM on November 3, 1999. Only the preacher and one family in attendance but the family had seven kids at the time ...so they took up two pews.

I love windchimes too. We have them on both porches here.

  3. Well, you continue to prove it time and time again that dreams really do come true!

    What a perfect wedding!

Your new wind chimes almost sounds like church bells, I love the deeper tones. I would love to have one, I wonder if the merchant does any type of mail order business?

Enjoy your 10th! And Happy aniversary! Cheers!

  15. Thanks everyone for the well wishes!!

@Mary...The merchant we bought the chimes has a website: www.ggadgets.com but it is still under construction (but they do give you a phone number and email address for contact).

Carson Home Accents is the name of the maker of the chimes, but they only sell wholesale. After doing a Google search, it looks like their chimes are on eBay and Amazon as well as other websites.
