Sunday Stills ~ Eyes

"Eyes" is this week's Sunday Stills photo challenge...and there are eyes everywhere, so this was a fun, easy challenge!

Who...Who...Who are you?
This is one of the juvenile Great Horned Owls residing
in our Elm trees.  They are almost as big as their parents!

Cowboy's white eye lashes...they stole my
heart 11 years ago.

Colt's soft, kind eye...he's my boy!

OK...this is not an eye...but it's the only end Cindy Sue would let me photograph!

So this the End of my Sunday Stills for today!

Check out the other "Eyes" by clicking here and checking the participants in the comments section. Join us next week if you have a mind to!

Enjoy your Sunday!

  1. So cute! Love the "end shot". My faves are Colt's eye and the owl...Don't know, owls might be my new favorite thing to photograph!

  4. I love the owl, do you get many up your elm tree? I have been fascinated since I was 4 when one flew in our house, but my grandma made my Dad let it go. Old Chinese wives tale.

  8. Ann~We have a mating pair that live here year round. They were residents in these trees before we moved here 5 years ago. Every year they have a batch of young...last year there were 5, this year there were 3, but now it's only 2...probably a predator, like a coyote, got the one. I'm not an expert, but I think they're pretty territorial and this their home.

  20. The owl's eyes are great! But I had to laugh at the rear end shot. My JRT doesn't like being photographed, so get a lot like this.
