Off to the Big City

Today I'm loading up Cindy Sue 'n Bella Jo and driving to Portland...7 hours give or take a few minutes. I've got Ag Survey training for three days. Well, no, the pups don't get to come with me to training...but they're going to stay with my dear friend who lives in Gresham. They get to be spoiled by Auntie Nancy at her elite Doggie Day Care!

So this mornin' I'm finishing up the last of the packing and getting everything lined out for while I'm gone. And time's flyin' so I gotta make this quick!

My Man gets to be in charge to take care of Colt. Colt's doing well. I finally got to take him out into the round pen yesterday for a lil' exercise, and he really wanted to tear it up...there were more than a few bucks and leaps into the air! But, I kept him under control enough so he didn't twist or turn on his leg. After the snow we had melted, it left the pen with a standing pool of water in it. But it's good footing now...thank goodness!

"I was just havin' a lil' fun Mom!"

One of the highlights of my trip to Portland, is to meet two fellow bloggers Jocelyn at For the Love of a Horse and 20 Meter Circle of Life at From Bell Boots to Botox and Back Again.

We're all meeting for dinner one night...we'll take pics!!! This should be a good time!

The weather looks good for driving over Mt. Hood so far...but it's supposed to rain the whole time I'm in Portland...just like I remember it when I grew up over there in the valley...YUCK!

See ya'll on Saturday...or so...

  2. we went to Portland last weekend, the roads are clear and no snow is forecast, in fact over hood is bare of snow at least thru Government Camp.

Have a good time, at least the grass is very green over there. It was a treat to see. LOL
