Sunday Stills

Wildflowers is this week's Sunday Stills Challenge topic. You can see more wildflower photos by going to the comments at Sunday Stills here.

All of these photos were taken in the Ochoco National Forest last week while we searched for Wild Horses.

Indian Paintbrush amongst some old scrub brush.

I don't know what these were called, but they were just
coming into the end of their bloom.
(maybe some sort of bluebell)

Wild Columbine and the purple flower from above
growing in a rock face.

I found this Wild Columbine growing in a pond with
thousands of polliwogs.

This photo was taken on our place in the high desert.

I have no idea what these are, but they are
usually tucked up underneath a sagebrush.

Happy Birthday America!!

  3. I like the rocks and flowers, and the last mystery flower. We have Indian Paintbrush here too, but not down in the lowlands where I'm living now. By the way, you have the best music on your blog! Love all the old cowboy songs.
